Objective
This document outlines DNS health check and associate billing in F5® Distributed Cloud and how to access them.
Reminder about DNS Load Balancer Health Checks
A DNS Load Balancer (DNSLB) Health Check enables verification that a DNSLB Pool endpoint member is healthy and available. If the member Is unhealthy or unavailable, the endpoint will be removed from the possible DNSLB answers.

- UDP
DNSLB Health Checks will also use a port to reach the target endpoint - often port 80 (HTTP) or 443 (HTTPS).

Billing
Health Check is only composed of a Type (HTTP, ICMP, etc.) and possibly a Port (when not using ICMP), it can be used in multiple pools.
When used in multiple pools, this health check will be billed accordingly.
